Who are we?

Mission

As a network of companies and organisations active in the Belgian market for biobased and biodegradable products, we are committed to healthy soil and a circular economy based on the organic cycle.

We aim to raise awareness among policymakers, civil society organizations, and consumers about the negative environmental impact of persistent microplastics and convince them of the positive contribution of biodegradable products that safely return to nature. We provide stakeholders with clear information on the interpretation of key terms, relevant laws and regulations, current scientific insights, and inspiring practical examples from our members.

At the same time, we strive for an optimal legislative framework, not only for our products but also to support and strengthen the organic cycle as an essential component of a sustainable economy. To this end, we are constantly seeking new partnerships.

Activities

Working groups : interested members meet in structural or ad-hoc working groups to study and discuss specific topics and, where appropriate, propose relevant actions.

Advocacy : members, on a voluntary basis and supported by a public affairs agency, are committed to clarifying our positions and defending our interests with relevant stakeholders..

Webinars : regular online discussion forums of max. 1 hour around 1 or 2 hot topics.

Yearly Members Event : interesting speakers are invited to explain their views on relevant topics.
